My Own Homepage by Ask Jeeves

As a plug for what I consider a fantastic service, I recommend that everyone leverage the ad-free portal service offered by My Way. Though My Way doesn't offer the full suite of services that Yahoo has assembled, the overall user experience provided is very much like that of Google versus other free search services.

Soros on US Foreign Policy

We are willing to infringe on the sovereignty of others in the name of human rights and democracy. We have no tolerance for body bags, yet we impose trade sanctions and drop bombs from high altitudes in defense of our principles. Our principles are supposed to have universal validity, yet we insist on judging how and when they should be applied. There is a double standard at work that is liable to offend the rest of humanity, and Americans are not even aware of it. -George Soros

Jibberish by Leadership

I found this to be rather humourous...

"Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns — the ones we don't know we don't know." United States Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, 2003

This is deep, real deep. I'm going to have to think for a little while.

Artiko Prepared Frozen Foods

It looks like Artiko made it through it's first holiday season with a bang. If you haven't checked it out yet, visit their flagship store in Larchmont NY, on Boston Post Road. It's a unique store that specializes in gourmet frozen foods. They sell only frozen foods under private label, as well as a handful of branded, niche products that don't really have wide distribution in supermarkets or mass merchants.

The business is based on a really simple concept: "make cooking at home easy." It seems as if their target market mostly either housewives (married with or without children / working or stay-at-home) and health-concious Baby Boomer types (empty nesters, singles, widowed, handicapped or ill).

I can't wait to see more of these stores!
